A classic #truecrime that occurred just a couple hours away from where I grew up. This “mountain man” stalked women and eventually kidnapped a teenager. I started reading this book and couldn‘t finish it - one of all time fears is people peering at me through windows. And, guess what this guy did? Where this takes place, you have no reason for people to peer through windows. @Kaye , have you read this? #maylovesclassics
Kaye I don‘t remember it... I‘ll go take a look on amazon to see if it rings a bell. I know of one that Diane Fanning wrote called 7y
Through the Window: The Terrifying True Story of Cross-Country Killer Tommy Lynn Sells
Kaye Not sure if that‘s the same guy... 7y
Librarybelle @Kaye This is a different guy. The crimes took place either in the 60s or 70s...it‘s been awhile since I attempted reading it. The town is called Shady Gap, and it‘s in the middle of nowhere in central Pennsylvania. 7y

Kaye No, I don‘t recall that one. Wow, look at the price ! Those older true crimes sell for big bucks. 7y
Librarybelle @Kaye It‘s harder to find, I think. A former staff member of mine let me borrow it. But, you may be able to get a copy through the library (as a librarian, I‘m obligated to make the plug! Ha!). 7y
Kaye I‘ll look it up and see. Our biggest library in the area used to have tons of true crime but they got rid of a lot of the older ones. Those are the ones I liked best. 7y
Kaye Just found one copy in all of the Clevenet system. Put it on hold. I‘ll give it a try. Thanks for the heads up. 7y
Librarybelle @Kaye Hooray! You are welcome! 7y
