#HeyJune #LucyintheSkyWithDiamonds

Although LSD likely did play a part in the lyrical content of “Lucy,” it was first inspired by Julian‘s abstract children‘s drawing.

*I missed all the prompts from this weekend due to camping, but trying to stay on top of it this week!

#HeyJune #WeCanWorkItOut

Rubber Soul is considered the Beatles‘ first truly “artistic” album, although my personal favorite of theirs is probably its follow-up, Revolver.

#HeyJune #AHardDaysNight

“It was Ringo who coined the phrase ‘a hard day‘s night‘ when after a long day he commented to someone ‘it‘s been a hard day‘ and then seeing that is was already night-time...tacked on the end.”

If you haven‘t seen the movie A Hard Day‘s Night, you are missing out. Solid soundtrack, plus it really highlights the personalities of each Beatle. Features those classic shots of the band trying to escape screaming girls.

#HeyJune #IWanttoHoldYourHand

“I Want to Hold Your Hand” was one of the Beatles earliest gigantic hits.

If you‘ve never seen the movie Across the Universe, you are missing out on an amazing cover of this song. The film adapts the song from a fun “I have a crush song” to a queer “I‘m pining for you in an unrequited way song.”

#HeyJune #EightDaysAWeek

The Hulu documentary “Eight Days a Week: The Touring Years” directed by Ron Howard, is also a must see for any Beatles fan. Focus is on their early career, before they stopped touring, and working relationship with George Martin. So much great archival footage and interviews with Ringo, Paul, and Martin (right before his death). The film ends with a 30 min film of their famous concert at Shea Stadium in 1966.

DivineDiana I saw this in a theater filled with Beatles‘ fans singing along! Such fun! 7y

#HeyJune #HeyJude Post Number 2

The tagged book is a must read for any Beatles fanatic. Features details about every recording session during the Abbey Road years. I will definitely be busting this one out for other days this month!

Most casual Beatles fans will know that Hey Jude was written for Julian (Jules) Lennon. For such a long song (and considering how many instruments), it‘s surprising to learn it was recorded in such a short time!

Cinfhen Cool!! Looking forward to learning more ❤️ 7y
