Rachel: The Story of Rachel Carson | Amy Ehrlich
1 post | 1 to read
Rachel Carson was always curious about the world around her. As a girl, she loved being outside, exploring and learning more about the universe. As an adult, Rachel wrote books, including Silent Spring, considered to be the start of today's environmental movement. An epilogue highlights on Rachel Carson's work and life.

My messy desk, which weirdly is bringing me a moment of joy.

Even when I‘m having the shittiest day & I‘m sick of driving, & I want to murder my coworker & throngs of young children (who doesn‘t feel that on a sporadic basis? 😅🔪), I have to remember that my job is such that my desk can be covered in books about phosphorescence, optical illusions, & novels filled with gorgeous words, & it‘s considered “work.”

Things are never all bad, are they?

Slajaunie I love that! What is you profession? 6y
monalyisha Thanks @Slajaunie 🤗! I work in what I refer to as a “shape-shifting library.” It‘s an elementary school library during the day & a public library after school lets out. 6y
Slajaunie @monalyisha I love it! That must be a fun and challenging job. I have never heard of such a thing. Where is this wondrous library? Books all day though! 6y
monalyisha @Slajaunie It‘s in Massachusetts. It‘s definitely a unique program! 6y
