List: Shout Your Dreams Out Loud to Make Them Come True
List: Shout Your Dreams Out Loud to Make Them Come True | Yuval Abramovitz
2 posts | 1 read
Refreshingly honest, fast-paced, and full of humor, The List is full of practical advice and inspiration that will help you achieve your goals. Already an international bestseller, the book began as a list of 10 things the author wanted to accomplish in 400 days. He posted the list on his blog and asked for help--and within 24 hours was overwhelmed by responses. The key idea is as simple as it is powerful--let others know about your dreams and they will help you achieve them. Why do some people succeed where others fail? What makes some push past their financial hardships while others lag behind? What is holding you back? Yuval Abramovitz provides thought-provoking true stories, tips, insights, and techniques to show readers how to move past roadblocks, ask and receive help, and reach even the loftiest of goals. The List is filled with exercises and prompts for lists that help you make your dreams a reality. The author's journey--from writing his first list in a wheelchair to becoming a well-known author, cultural reporter, actor, and media personality--and the stories of people around the world using his method to achieve success prove that this is a motivational book that truly works.

IT IS *NOT* GETTING BETTER!!! 😭😭😭😭 Okay, the theme appears to be “define your goals and let people help you”. Not a bad notion but Such. Infantile. Dissemination. (See, this is why I hate reading books from non-reading associates who claim said book gave them epiphanies. You end up annoyed even if the underlying theory is pretty solid 🤦🏻‍♀️😭).

Zelma Ugh, that looks like an advertisement. Nope. I think you have good reason to bail on this one. 6y
LiterRohde 😖 Looks like clickbait or one of those sites that gives your computer a virus. It actually looks unhealthy, if that makes sense. 6y
GlassAsDiamonds @Zelma I am SO close!!! I promised a friend I‘d read it but OMG, it‘s just chaos and now I think my friend is quite loony. @LiterRohde - it does make sense! It‘s also screaming self published without a decent or sane editor, which is odd because the author is apparently highly successful! 6y

Okay, I probably should have managed my expectations for an almost free eBook but a friend was adamant I read this .... the jumping, infantile fonts, sizes and colors are driving me bonkers!!! 😡😡😡😡 I get he‘s trying to be all snappy, trendy and emphasize a point but red backed white text, black on white text and three font sizes in *one sentence* are a little much...

wanderinglynn That would drive me bonkers too. 😖 6y
Zelma Ugh, that looks like it would give me a headache. 6y
CarolynM Trying too hard 6y
GlassAsDiamonds @CarolynM Oh. So. It‘s not getting better either. I wish the actual theory was rubbish so I could just give up (which I‘d probably not do, truth be told, but argh!!!). 6y
GlassAsDiamonds @wanderinglynn glad to know it‘s not just me!!! 😭🤯 @Zelma .... & it‘s just getting worse. 😭😭😭😭 6y
