Return to the world of Mortal Engines in this new book of three short stories about the rebellious young aviatrix, Anna Fang, illustrated by Ian McQue. A key character in the Mortal Engines book and film, this is your chance to learn more of her past. Night Flights includes Traction City, the 2011 World Book Day Book by Philip Reeve.

Those three short stories about Anna Fang were so much better than my last encounter with the Mortal Engines world. Here we learn a lot more about Anna, about her past, how she became who she is, and what is important to her. To be honest, I've enjoyed reading these stories more than some of the main books 😅

The illustrations by Ian McQue are amazing, especially when it comes to the engines.

I did not forget, I promise! Just didn't get around to check what my #Roll100 for February will be. Now I finally know. It hit Mortal Engines once again 😄
Regarding the number of pages quite the opposite of my current #Roll100 😅

Mortal Engines Series - Extra Stories
I rate this book a 6/10 because most of what the characters did, didn't contribute to the story in any major way. I did enjoy how it was short and explained the backstory and three main stories about one of the late characters in the Mortal Engines series.

I've been trying to make up for my dismal reading the past few months by reading short books. :B

Not like I can say no to this! Mortal Engines is one of the best post-His Dark Materials series I've read and introduced one of my faves ever, aviatrix spy extraordinaire Anna Fang. Philip Reeve wrote stories about her recently (he fanboys the actress playing her in the upcoming movie directed by Peter Jackson a lot, it's so cute) and IT'S GOOD.
