pickDorothy Brooke's work to end the suffering of beaten and neglected British war horses left in Cairo after the great war, was inspiring and at times heartbreaking to read, more than a few tears were shed. She was a courageous woman whose legacy lives on through the people who have continued on her work not only in Egypt but in other countries that relies heavily on equine help for making a wage. An eye opening and interesting read.
