so-soA sweet little story about love during the war which tried to be a mystery but didn‘t quite make it. It was obvious to the reader what was going on from the beginning and the “secret” was really just something no one had thought to mention. It all tied up nearly in a nice little bow at the end though.
pickThis book got me wanting to pull out my mid-calf coat and gloves. Lucky it‘s the weather for it here! An interesting tale of something I knew very little of: artists who were hired in England to document the war by going to the front, or provide artwork for public spaces around the city. Full disclosure, I do know the author and she‘s lovely, so I was always going to be disposed to like her book! 😄
The winter sun is shining, and I‘m taking advantage of it by reading in my hammock.
