I have fallen into a true crime TV binge. This serial killer wrote the tagged book.
In this true-crime docuseries, veteran detective John Cameron investigates convicted serial killer Ed Edwards and uncovers mounting evidence that connects Edwards to some of the most infamous murder cases of the last 60 years, many of which are still unsolved. Cameron is joined by Edwards's own grandson, Wayne Wolfe, as they search for the truth.

Kaye I haven‘t read this book, but he claims to have killed a young couple in our area back in 1977. I knew the girl ( Judy) The police here that worked the case actually had the guilty person in custody, but the judge threw out the case due to the fact this boy was from the richest family in town , and that 2 eyewitnesses‘ testimony was thrown out due to the fact they had shared one marijuana cigarette and their testimony wasn‘t “believed” .⬇️ 6y
Kaye I asked our police chief about it after this guy admitted to killing this couple. He said “ Don‘t believe everything you hear from this guy”. Apparently he wanted to go out being a famous serial killer claiming to have killed more people than he actually did. I don‘t know much about the original couple he was caught for, but don‘t believe he killed the kids from here. 6y
GripLitGrl @Kaye so sorry about Judy. Show was interesting the retired detective is trying to link him to several other cases all pretty famous. Some had possible merit he could be the zodiac some pretty out there . The book he wrote was way out there surprised it was published even. He was chasing fame & a con man charged with 5 murders he died in prison suddenly & the detective is obsessed w/ linking him to more cases. 6y

Kaye Yes I‘ve heard he wrote a book trying to peddle it. He only came forward and claimed some of these others at the very end of his life. He knew he was dying, so what did he have to lose ? I think he wanted to be a famous serial killer, as stupid as it sounds. The police here are 100% sure they had the right guy and he walked. There are lots of behind the scenes stuff I know. Judy‘s mom and my mom were friends, so we heard everything the cops 👇🏼 (edited) 6y
Kaye Told her... it was honestly a rigged trial. This guy didn‘t kill Judy and Bill. I have no information on the other cases he claimed. It‘s so sad, I know 2 moms in our area whose daughters were killed. They are both husks of the people they once were. Both cases have VERY QUESTIONABLE guilty parties. One was put to death . He wasn‘t a good guy, but I think they killed the wrong person. 6y
GripLitGrl @Kaye It's just devastating to go through something so horrible. It's so frustrating when the system fails & guilty monsters walk & innocent people go to jail. 6y
Kaye Yep it happens all too many times. That‘s why I‘m against the death penalty . If we make ONE mistake and kill an innocent man, what makes us any better than murderers ourselves ? I think I read awhile back that there are known to have been 350-some innocent men put to death. Not good. 6y
GripLitGrl @Kaye True not a sentence that should be handed out lightly. Air tight like caught on camera with witnesses air tight guilty 6y
