“John the Baptist, imprisoned by Herod and awaiting death, struggles to understand a Lord who did not live up to his expectations.” Bagheera really wanted to be in this review photo 😉😸. This book is a pretty quick read, even for me. It felt more like a sermon series than a story, but I‘m totally okay with that. It was some preaching that I needed to hear. ❤️ I‘m grateful that my book club friend sent it to me. 🥰

#bookandcoffee and fuzzy socks on this chilly, wet day. Coffee/tea and fuzzy socks always help me feel better when the world feels stressful. Do you guys have anything that always brings you comfort like that? Also, mental health check in: how are you doing today? ❤️

Viji Had a nightmare about an apocalypse brought about by militia groups after the election. Then got in the car to go to brunch and what are they talking about on NPR? Yup, militia groups interfering with voting 😳 4y
obviateit Oh man, @Viji that is too scary. I‘m sorry that reality and nightmares are so similar right now. I can only hope that things will get better. ❤️ 4y
Viji I talked to my elderly mom who lives several hours away. She‘s upbeat so if she can do it, so can I! 4y
obviateit @Viji I love that!! Keep hanging in there! 4y

So, this was a really quick read. It took maybe about an hour. But after that hour was over, and I turned the last page, I was in full on SOBS.
If you have ever been through a season of life, and at the end of it you find yourself questioning “what was God‘s purpose in all of this hardship?” Or even “Why did that miracle happen?” READ THIS BOOK. It will open your eyes, leave your mouth gaping and an understanding will be invoked.

This one was recommended to me for the season I am currently in. So far I love the story like way it is written in. A wonderful insight to the realities of famous names found in the Bible. And stories that are not just long languaged verses to memorize. These were real people.
