Absolute Proof
Absolute Proof | Peter James
9 posts | 7 read | 5 to read
Investigative reporter Ross Hunter nearly didnt answer the phone call that would change his life and possibly the world for ever. Id just like to assure you Im not a nutcase, Mr Hunter. My name is Dr Harry F. Cook. I know this is going to sound strange, but Ive recently been given absolute proof of Gods existence and Ive been advised there is a writer, a respected journalist called Ross Hunter, who could help me to get taken seriously. What would it take to prove the existence of God? And what would be the consequences? This question and its answer lie at the heart of Absolute Proof, an international thriller from bestselling author Peter James. The false faith of a billionaire evangelist, the lifes work of a famous atheist, and the credibility of each of the worlds major religions are all under threat. If Ross Hunter can survive long enough to present the evidence . . .

Really enjoyed it. Poses alot of interesting questions about what would happen if there was proof of the existence of God. Couldn't put it down once it got going but its not perfect and the ending was a let down as i thought there was still 50 pages to go (there wasn't, it was an excerpt from one of James' other books) still worth reading, especially if you liked The Da Vinci Code

Enjoyable enough. Thriller about the hunt for genetic proof of the existence of God.

Gone back to this one now after needing an easier lighter read. First Peter James I've read, I'm around a third of the way through and I have to say I'm gripped! Maybe one or two points have been over simplified? But I guess for the story to move forward that's necessary. That's my only slight criticism though so far

An engaging enough story but with some major, MAJOR flaws, and an ending that was a complete cop out. My opinion: a poor man's Da Vinci Code / Angels and Demons.
🌟🌟 only - and that's being generous.

Peter James has written an absorbing and exciting thriller, which covers how many factions in this world would feel threatened if there was the absolute proof of God's existence. It‘s an entertaining read that pulls you into the story with such ease, you will definitely want to know just how it ends.

I would like to thank the Author/the Publishers/NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a fair and honest review

This is quite a rollercoaster of a thriller. It takes a little time to get going and then it‘s action packed. I found it an entertaining, exciting and thought provoking read, although I did have to suspend belief at times. I read it with a pinch of salt and found it was actually quite the page turner. It‘s written with a sense of humour, too. If you enjoyed the Da Vinci Code, you‘ll like this one. Pigeonhole app read.

Peter was kind enough to give me an ARC of his latest stand alone and I am simply “chuffed” about diving in and reading it. I think there will be some interesting news about this book in the near future. Peter is a “must read” author for me. He is always ahead of the curve.
