Darksoul | 
so-soI don‘t do much grimdark these days, but I make an exception for Anna Stephens. Still, I spent much of Darksoul grimacing or flinching and really not enjoying myself. I feel like Darksoul worked harder and was more focused than Godblind, but was also more conventional / predictable; and I have Thoughts about the handling of Crys, Ash, Tara and Rillirin. Nonetheless, a solid second book if you have the stomach for it.
