Jessie and Carl have made a terrible mistake. When Jonah came to their cabin in Maine woods asking to use the phone, they should never have let him in. But Jessie took pity on him. She was thinking of her own missing daughter and hoping she was receiving the same kindness. They invite him in and discover he knows all about them.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I finished it in one day because it was so good. If you like psychological suspense, this is the book for you!

Despite some stilted dialogue, I found this book about an older couple held hostage by a mysterious stranger oddly compelling. My full review is up at theludicreader.com
