Snow Geese (Revised)

so-so

A memoir of travelling along with the migratory snow geese. I appreciated the parts where the author talked about the birds and himself. Less so the many detours about the people he met on his travels which seemed to left a bit hanging as he then moves on...

Snow Geese (Revised) | William Fiennes

1. It was almost 100 degrees and *gasp* humid here today. So ... snow pictures ....
2. Two. Just finished one yesterday and trying like hell to finish these before the 31st.
3. We had this crazy pizza place called Bimbo‘s. They had a clown named Bimbo, a stage with bands and comedy, and it was in a rustic barn.
4. Not as much as I should.
5. Either of these choices would be *really* difficult. But couldn‘t go without reading.

tonyahoswalt Bimbo's sounds kind of like our Chuck'ee Cheese, only he's a mouse. When I was a kid, there were more characters than just the mouse, and they would perform on stage. I think there was even an "Elvis" dog. I don't know if they have Chuck'ee Cheese in other places, but he's still around here. 6y

BarbaraTheBibliophage @tonyahoswalt For me, it‘s all the kids whose parents don‘t keep them under control that‘s scary. I‘ve known kids to be injured. And parents who‘ve been injured by other parents. It‘s got an out-of-control reputation around here. 6y

tonyahoswalt @BarbaraTheBibliophage those are good points. I was going to say I don't know what it is like here anymore, but I just remembered that two parents got in a fight in the parking lot last year I think. 6y
