SqueakyChu @laytonwoman3rd Woah! This book was fabulous!! Don‘t let my complaints of a slow start stop you from reading it. Now I need to read even more works by Howard Norman. If you get a chance to read this novel soon, let me know what you think of it. I hope you end up liking it as much as I did! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (edited) 6y
laytonwoman3rd Wonderful...thanks. I'll definitely move it up the pile now! 6y
SqueakyChu @laytonwoman3rd I just read the biography of Howard Norman and learned he now lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland (about ten miles from me), and teaches at The University of Maryland (where I once attended college). Small world! (edited) 6y
laytonwoman3rd Cool. I met him a few years ago...he's a bit prickly in person. 6y

I started this book tonight for a reading challenge on #LibraryThing to read a book with a three-word title that also has at least one person pictured on the cover. Okay. She‘s not completely pictured, but we know she‘s there. I see her eye, an eyebrow, and some hair. Haha! I‘m looking forward to this story because I really enjoyed The Bird Artist, another novel by the same author.
