I‘m not a huge fan of Amish romance but I love these fairytale retellings by Sarah Price!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book, by far, exceeded my expectations.
The writing was beautiful. Lovely descriptions of natural surroundings as well as the characters themselves. The love that bloomed between characters as well as the hate and discontent that festered.
I'm so happy to have found a new author to follow. She has brought to light (for me) that not all Amish fiction is the same, and that's so refreshing!

"Shivering, Sadie rubbed her arms. She looked around, amazed at how beautiful the sunset was. Overhead, the sky was darkening and a fine mist was settling on the earth. Birds were beginning their evening songs and several rabbits nibbled on the leaves from a bush nearby as the sky turned darker and darker."

I truly hope that this blooming romance continues and ends well. I'm only 25% into the story so I'm already nervous of the terrain ahead. Such a lovely read thus far! I love these characters.

I love word pictures. The coming together of words that formulate a picture in the mind's eye of the reader. I'm already loving the language and writing style portrayed in this book. I wish it wasn't 11:45PM so I could keep reading!
