This book published September 30 and I haven‘t read it yet. I‘ve had an ARC for over a month and just didn‘t get to it. I feel bad when I don‘t read ARCs before they publish but I also want to be present in real life and not miss out on what is happening right in front of me. 🤍 do you read ARCs?

Getting back to this one. I set it down because I didn‘t finish it in time to continue with my reading group. I was so sad I didn‘t even want to look at it.
Anyway, it‘s good and I just can‘t quit. Great author. great story build. 💗 here we go.

I liked this one.

I also really dislike the character limitation on this app. I hardly post here for that reason. I hate cutting down what I‘ve written.

It's been slow going so far but I won't say I'm not enjoying it. Kind of in the middle of the road for me, so far. Hoping it'll pick up soon.

AlienBritt May I ask what all the tabs are for? Love all the colours! 4y
bg_reads @AlienBritt I knew this book would have a ton of info so I started using tabs to keep track of the magic system, political system, new characters/introductions, and quotes I like. There‘s another one, but I can‘t remember what it‘s for. Lol! 4y

Interesting read so far. It's weird, yet fun and quirky. The MC kind of bugs me but I have to remember that she's only 12 and her actions make sense in that regard. 💐

This book has been EPIC! 35% in (800 total pages) and I wish I had more time to devote to this story! It's a great story, wonderful world building, though character focused, and it does a wonderful job of giving all the sides of the bubbling situation. There is no clear villain, per se, more along the lines of morally grey. I appreciate that. I hate when books basically say "hate this character, love this one." ??????

Currently Reading this book -- and it's not standing up to book 1. That was a great book! I'm 30% into this one and still waiting for something to happen. It seems like there's more mystery involved in this story compared to the first. I am not a fan.

We are in the middle of moving over state lines and I'm too nervous to read a hardcover (I'm afraid I'll forget the dust jacket since I remove it when I read). Since this book (and book 2 by Nicholas Eames) is the only paperback I have, I'm going to start it. ⚔️

This book is SO GOOD!

xxjenadanxx I can't wait to read it! I'm second in queue for it at my library! 5y
bg_reads @xxjenadanxx I hope you enjoy it as much as I am! I just love historical fiction and even though it's not entirely true (it's a work of fiction after all), Chinese people in the US were victims of racial injustice as well. It's so good! 5y

Well, folks, I started BOTM this month and this was my pick! I also made a goal for myself that when I get books through #botm I have to read at least one of those books that month (you can add-on books and buy multiple a month, though I'm sure most of you know that). This month I got 2 and this is one of them! Starting it today. 👒

Took a break from this behemoth of a book (after 28 pages) to finish a NetGalley read. Now I'm hoping to get back to this! It's so big, though, I'm afraid it will take me ages to read it.

This book was fantastic! It was such an interesting perspective on WWII! I love HF and it seems like all historical fiction is revolving around WWII (there have been other wars, authors, come on!). This one centers around pigeon farmers who are infiltrated into the war effort! Did you know homing pigeons were used during the war? I didn't! And I loved that the author used real facts to go with his fictional story!

I figured the best way to follow up a GREAT read #WARBREAKER by Brandon Sanderson - was to pick a completely different genre. Haha! The book after the 5⭐ read is always a fail because nothing can follow that up! I'm enjoying this so far. It's shorter and a dual POV story. It's rather sweet!

Books & book sales make me so happy.
Finding a new-to-me author: game, set, match.
Brandon Sanderson might be an author I just HAVE to buy. You know, they come out with a new book, and it doesn't even matter what it's about, you just know it's going to be good and you just need to buy it.
STEELHEART was only $8 on Amazon (hardcover) and I just couldn't withstand it anymore. I don't regret buying it.

Whet a book! I think I enjoyed it! One character battles depression quite extensively and at the risk of sounding unsympathetic, it was overdone. I got so tired of his whiney mentality and his "woe is me's". Rather than fixing the problem, he wallowed! Other than that, I really liked this one!

ErinC This is one of my favorite YA books of all time! 5y

bg_reads @RaimeyGallant I mean, I get it to an extent: he wants to respect his mother but he's drowning. If he decides to not pull himself out of the situation then he needs to buck up and stop complaining. Ya know?? Oi! Anyway.. #rantover 🙄 For now, at least. 5y
