X-Men: Nos. 1-10
X-Men: Nos. 1-10 | Stan Lee

Feast your eyes on the foundation of one of comic's most-famous franchises. It's all here from the very beginning with the debut of Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Iceman and Marvel Girl, Professor X's teen team with a mission of peace and brotherhood for man and mutant, in their first battle with the Master of Magnetism, Magneto. Written by Stan "The Man" Lee and illustrated by Jack "King" Kirby, it's super-hero adventure at its very best! Collecting: The X-Men #1-10

Pickpick

This is pretty similar to reading the early Avengers. Stan Lee always wrote such cheesy, over the top dialogue. Some of the plot devices are a little sexist nowadays, but I still enjoyed reading this!

It begins.

Summer is quickly coming and this year my plan is to read, in order, all of Volume 1 of The X-Men. From 1963 - 2011.

Thats 544 issues and 18 annuals.

Pretty much all of it I have read before. Mostly as a kid. The X-Men have always been my favorite Marvel series and is one of the comics responsible for 'starting it all' for me.

So, yeah. Expect lots of X-Men content the next few months from me. 🤷‍♂️

GypsyKat That‘s a seriously awesome goal! 👏👏👏 5y
GypsyKat I‘m honestly kinda jealous. I‘ll be living vicariously through you during all this. 5y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @GypsyKat Thanks! I'm pretty excited to re-visit these childhood favorites. So many epic moments that blew my mind as a kid. 🤗 5y

I just heard about Stan Lee. I'll always be so grateful to him for co-creating the X-Men and giving me such a grand, wallowsome, epic reading project.
