Moving onto my next country for #ReadingAfrica2022, with the tagged book which covers #Uganda. I‘ve never seen the film so interested to see what the book is like.

Excellent book and an interesting view of the politics and war in Uganda at the time. Definitely made me want to see the film. Found my heart beating fast at moments. The voice of this novel really drew me in. 4 out of 5 on GR. On loan from manager at work.

This was such a powerful book! What's so crazy is that even the most evil of dictators have likable qualities that brought them into power. Sometimes they even have a cozy home life and the inane ability to separate heinous acts from themselves. That was the case with Idi Amin.
