This book was a bit all over the place. Really the series probably should have just finished after book 4. In this one everything gets ripped apart and thrown together (literally!) in order to create a new world and direction. Alternate versions of old characters are brought back and everything is a bit of a mess. I'll continue the series to see where it goes but only because I hate not finishing series.

MerlinTheSlightlyAwkward Old post, but hilariously, this is the ONLY book of this series I enjoyed. It was a random read, out of context, having read none of the RuneLords saga. I thought it an engaging standalone novel- only to discover the rest of the series was drawn on and a bit boring! 2y
