bailedThis hurts me to write - I had to abandon this book. I made it to page 67 before realizing that I simply didn't like this book. It's an earlier book that uses a lot of the techniques that Saramago used brilliantly in his other books. This feels off. I wanted so sit and read this and enjoy this last book if a favourite author. It simply was not meant to be.
