I continue checking out #library books at a frankly absurd rate. I returned two unread today but have overall managed to still finish them, so that‘s something! I also had to expand up to a second shelf (not shown). Tagged is the book I‘m most excited about and will likely start as soon as I finish the current two (Golden Witchbreed and His Bloody Project).
A historical fantasy that breaks the rules in the best way. This fast-paced and enjoyable read offers a deft and witty take on religion, politics, and women‘s lot in Medieval Europe circa 1328. It‘s a great combo of memorable characters and historical detail which Heartfield has meshed in a flawless and wholly believable way with the Chatelaine of Hell and her cohorts.
