While Julie was on the tundra living with the wolves who saved her from a grizzly attack, things have changed in her village. Now she must reconcile herself to the changes without endangering her beloved wolves. Craighead George's nature books are peaceful to me
When I was in 1st grade, my teacher recognized that I needed more challenging books. She pulled some strings and got me an upper-level order form. This is the first book I bought from it - I found it in my parents' attic recently. That teacher helped cement my love of reading. Thanks, Miss Bacquet.
