Some parts were a little slow, but overall pretty good. This one kind of reminded me a little bit of “Sadie”. Was I the only one who got those vibes?

DNF - I couldn‘t with this one because of everything with Tamlin and the Night Court. I get it because she‘s suffering, but I wasn‘t happy with the choice. I‘ve heard the series gets better after this one, so I still have my page marked, I might go back to it.

GondorGirl Honestly, I didn't feel the series got better. The Tamlin problems got dealt with, but I find Feyre's friend group entirely too elitist and her relationship unrealistic and a little cringy. I finished the first three books and then gave up. 3y
js0315 @GondorGirl Whew, thanks for letting me know this! Might not continue after all. 3y

I guess I must not be with the majority on this one. I was excited to read this, but it didn‘t match up with the hype. I read half and skimmed through the rest. And the cover was so pretty.

Bitches are never nice, they turn their backs on you whenever it‘s convenient for them. This book was toxic, it alternates between past and present, there were some parts that were a bit messy, but a good read. Just to be clear, you will not love these girls.

I‘m giving this a Pick rating because I love this cover and the read was enjoyable, I‘m just not sure that there was anything really stellar about it. It did end on a cliffhanger and I kind of want to know how this ends.

I‘m surprised at how much I like this, I was apprehensive about going into this because I wasn‘t sure if I would like it. There were some scenes that really stood out and there was some gruesome scenes in this as well, but I‘m looking forward to starting the next one.

Clearly I did not post this one either - sorry, taking a look at my goodreads now. ************** There were parts of this was that was a bit long and not quite as enjoyable as the first. I‘m still a bit confused as to why Elias was chosen for his job. I am rather intrigued by the Nightbringer.

I did not enjoy as much as “Dear Martin”, I don‘t think this one was quite as impactful or moving. I was also a bit irritated the way this was written grammatically as was “Dear Martin”.

Finished this a couple days ago. The beginning was a little slow and lost my interest but picked up again when I forced myself to continue. Is the rest of the series worth finishing?

LibrarianRyan I loved book 1 and i thought book 2 was good, but not exactly what I thought it would be. It does have the 2nd book slump, but not too bad. it's setting up book 3. Haven't gotten to 3 yet, but soon. 3y

I was excited about this, but it didn‘t live up to the expectations. I felt like this was really messy, I appreciate when you have a good mystery and are shocked by the outcome, but this just didn‘t have that. I don‘t think this was articulated well by the author.

This wasn‘t too bad but not the most memorable. I find it hard to believe that the mother wasn‘t able to realize what was happening with her daughter and having certain conversations with her. But then again, I guess parents can be oblivious to their children.

I know that I say this all the time, but I wanted to like this one. I tried the audio book and I thought perhaps it was the narrator that drove me crazy, but when reading the actual book, it was the writing as well that was irritating. I think I just liked the cover more than anything.
