"Feeling sentimental?"
Yes, that's why I was reading this again. I get a little nostalgic when I haven't visited the Potterverse for awhile.

I'm not really sure why I picked this up, I wish someone had forewarned me about what I was getting myself into. This is pure trash. Thankfully I only spent $3 on this book.

This is my first of Batman, was this not where I should've started? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Bookwomble There's soooooo much to read, and I'm certainly not up to date with Batman continuity, but Year Two is an obvious next read - it does develop the arc started in Year One. The Killing Joke, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth, and The Dark Knight Returns are all classic, but possibly best enjoyed when you're more familiar with the tropes they subvert. I'm sure others will make suggestions to fill in the gaps 😊🦇🐧🤡 2mo
Bookwomble This Goodreads list, The Best of Batman, might give you some ideas. There's over 500 titles on it, though, so it's not exactly curated! https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/450.Best_of_Batman 2mo

Forgot to mention that I finished this. This was surprisingly good, I picked this one for our first book club pick and I finished it rather quickly. Suspenful, although there were some parts that were a little lagging. The ending was a little jumbled and a bit confusing, but I wasn't expecting the outcome.

Well this took a surprise turn. I was struggling with this a bit when I first started it because it's definitely different and a bit confusing on the world building. However, it got better through the second half and then I couldn't stop reading it.

This took forever to get through, I know I say these for most novels over three hundred pages, but this definitely could've been shorter. I don't recall having to struggle through the first three as much as with this installment. Something about Jo has changed and it's starting to show in her work. Scratch that, we all know what's changed, she's starting to lose her edge.

Liatrek I agree! I struggled with this one but the others were quick reads. This was too long and I was just disappointed with Robins choice at the start. 11mo

You know, I read about four chapters of this, and I was thinking there was something wrong with me because I didn't like the author and the way she was speaking to me, so I stopped reading and took a look at Goodreads. I read so many of the negative reviews and knew that was the end for me. Thank goodness I bought this at a thrift store for four bucks or I'd really be disappointed. Not sure whether I should pass it on to my friend.

britt_brooke Worst book of the year for me. I returned it to Audible and got my credit back. 11mo
