I had never read any Hellboy comics before this one, for my graphic novel book club. Hellboy is sent to Mexico for five months to investigate a series of mass killings and claims to have no memory of fighting Aztec mummies, witches, vampires, and more. I loved the mix of Mexican folklore and old school horror/monster movie characters.
