Interesting subject, plus a well written book. It does make some undeniable points about talent.

This was a Modern Mrs. Darcy rec. It took me nine months to read it through because I kept getting bored with it and setting aside. I did learn a thing or two though.

I loved this book because it dispels the myth that people who are successful at what they do have a genetic talent. It's actually a unique combination of drive, mindful practice and creating strong neural pathways (muscle memory) how the Yo Yo Ma's and Michael Jordan's of the world have succeeded. Also interesting is his explanation of "hotbeds", certain areas of the world known for a particular talent. Very useful techniques to try. ?????

I LOVE this book on how talent is created. I love the idea that anyone can work towards excellence. I use it all the time in coaching at school and in teaching my own kids to develop their pursuits. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #minimalistcover #augustphotochallenge
