According to Wikipedia, T. C. Boyle has published 16 novels. I sat at his table once during a publishing event where he was the guest speaker. This is the first time I've ever read anything he's written. #newtoyouauthor #booked2019 #mmdchallenge

One of my absolute favorites. The imagery and emotion evoked is phenomenal. Love the characters and the plot (which revolves around poverty, illegal immigration, etc).
New year, new chance! This year (trying again) I will be reading 1 book a week, starting today! I would love to chat with anyone and everyone about literature! Recommendations welcome!!!
2019 starts with The Tortilla Curtain by T. C. Boyle (a recommendation from my mom!). Come join me in a healthy, happy, book-filled 2019!!
Great piece by TC Boyle in The New Yorker. I found this on Facebook, I don‘t know how to find a web address to cut/paste on my phone.

I can't think of any Mexican writers immediately but this book humanised the Mexican immigrants plight.
I love it when I find an old book and it turns out to be so important.
