The Neighborhood Mother Goose
The Neighborhood Mother Goose | Nina Crews
4 posts | 1 read
Every day, children the world over sing, shout, and celebrate Mother Goose rhymes. And now there's a new reason to cheer: Nina Crews has added her own remarkable, jazzy style of illustration to a collection of forty-one favorite verses. Whether it's Jack jumping over a candlestick (atop a cupcake), Georgie Porgie kissing the girls (at the playground), or a fine lady riding a white horse (on the carousel), this exuberant treasury is sure to be read and enjoyed over and over again.

I think this book would be good to introduce nursery rhymes. I think children and babies enjoy rhymes and find them interesting when read aloud to a class or an individual child.

Pickpick

This book is a book full of nursery rhymes. I think the images of the re-enacted rhymes were very cute, and easy to follow. For example, one image was a boy outside of a store, holding a pig in a grocery bag. The nursery rhyme was about buying a fat pig at the market. I think this book is very creative and can easily be understood by kids.
