Day 14 #AprilBookShowers #titlewithgood Looking at my Goodreads *read* stacks, it seems that most of my books with 'good' in the title are thrillers, dramas, foodie books & cookbooks. Here's a selection of my good books. 😀👍
Day29 #readjanuary #FoodieFiction🍴📚Foodie books & foodie fiction are genres that I love & I could post a bunch, but I'll restrain myself & not blow up the Litsy feed. Stacy Ballis writes some light, fun foodie fiction that's a pleasure to read. Room for Improvement is my favorite of her food-based novels. Wedding Girl came out last year & is in my TBR stack. (One of these days!) I get hungry reading her books & I've made some of the recipes.😋
OK Tyler Florence...you win! These just may be (at least among) "the best mashed potato you'll ever taste in your entire life." Cooked in cream, butter, olive oil, garlic & herbs which are folded back in, they're not the healthiest (which makes pairing them w/a book about a woman who lost weight & opens a take-out cafe w/healthy & delicious food a bit ironic) but I'm matching the title & these are so good, you almost don't need gravy! #Litsycooks
I don't often find myself gravitating toward #foodiefiction, but I ❤️ Ballis' writing. This book completely hit the spot this weekend (pun intended). I loved following Mel and Nadia on their paths to self discovery and empowerment. If you're in the mood for a solid female lead, enriching relationships, and lots of food, this is a book for you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
