Mehso-so

I found the subject matter very confronting. Child abuse is a hard subject to digest but apart from that, the story was quite compelling. Just too tough for me to read about.

Pickpick

At times sad and dark, this novel clearly portrays family and mental health issues that touch on adoption, legal problems, and misunderstandings that pull apart the families involved.

Absolutely one of my favourite books. Very poignant, I enjoy books by Australian authors that write about suburbs I know. Again another story that could and possibly has occurred before. Heartbreaking ending.
