The fact that I can look out the window between 7 am and 4 pm and it is that—MY window! Or that I even have a window to look out of. For most of my teaching career, I had no windows in my classrooms. But now I can wander to the window and look into my backyard and revel in the fact that I‘m no longer tied to a job! I am deeply appreciative and will never take it for granted! ❤️

That it‘s my window, well ok for the next 25 yrs it‘s still the mortgage company‘s, but then then it‘s mine! It‘s something I didn‘t think I‘d ever have as a single mom. We struggle oh do we struggle and some times I need help, but the windows and the yard beyond are mine.

Seeing that I am sitting in my classroom and my room is an interior room and therefore has no windows… it would bring me joy if I did have a window and I looked outside and saw the sun shining!
When one of the avocado trees we grew from a pit died, I bought a salvia to plant in its place. I can see it from my regular reading and tea-drinking spot, and I love watching the hummingbirds and bees and hoverflies visit. It gives me the sense that I'm collaborating with Nature. (No hummingbirds in this photo, but I know they're out there.) @Eggs #MajicMonday
I'm in a landlocked office currently, but last night I was watching the rain move in which was rather soothing. 🌧

7. Reflecting on the past year and setting goals for the next. I know that‘s January, but you have to make the actual decisions in December.
