Last weekend, our area got 30cm of snow, and it put me in the mood to read the next book in remote and wintry Rockton. It's definitely more fun reading about snow than shovelling it! This was a good page-turning mystery/thriller.

Been cheering for Katie since she won her first gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. This book confirms she‘s cool, kind, down-to-earth & very passionate about enjoying life, having fun & yes…swimming! Fun to learn about her supportive family & inspiring grandmas-one who helped Albert Einstein translate his memoir! Too bad press coverage still leans toward the men. Let‘s hope Katie and more women Olympian champions will finally change that!🥇

I loved One Tree Hill, I‘ve the series on DVD, & even to this day I watch ship videos of Nathan and Haley on YouTube. Thanks to all the listens who reviewed this book so I knew she had a book out

I‘m so glad I read this. Another reminder that we don‘t know what‘s behind the facade people put up. How easy it is for things to change since we‘re all looking for something. & love, to love friends & family even if they make the wrong choices

Apparently this is the same book as Artful Dodger? Anyway.

Can I accept romance in a cozy mystery? Yes.

Can I tolerate a romance with a cop? Eh.

Can I continue reading a romantic cozy mystery where the cop kisses his prime suspect, WHILE HE IS INVESTIGATING HER? ✨No.✨

I loved both my #bookspin and #doublespin this month. Summerwater has rightfully received a lot of love here. Shanghailanders also in that novel-in-stories vibe with the story of a Chinese/Japanese parents with three daughters living in Shanghai after the parents met as young adults in Paris. The story is told in reverse chronological order. I don‘t think that plot device added anything, but the novel was still great! Life update ⬇️

This was a very quick read. A bit young, and the characters lack emotional depth. But the story did grab me.
I'm definitely reading the rest of the series.

Low pick. I actually read my #botm the month I got it!

This one could have benefited from being in both MCs head. It got exhausting being in only Ada‘s head.

I had some issues, but overall I did like this one.
