December 10: Vera Something by Adam O‘Fallon Price.
Don‘t know if the story is published in the tagged book, but part of the story does takes place at that hotel.
We meet a 20-something man who has just met Vera Something. And then we see how this meeting affects him.
Interestingly structured and gloriously populated, The Hotel Neversink, tells us the story of the rise and fall of the titular Catskills resort over the course of decades, with echoes of the Overlook threaded throughout.
This could be seen as a series of linked short stories, but the sum is definitely more than the parts. I‘m looking forward to recommending this when it comes out in August.
Oh yay!
Requested this last night after our great book club meeting for The Grand Tour, explaining I wanted to consider it for our staff picks presentations in May. So happy PRH could come through right away!
Will be starting this ASAP. 📚❤️😊
