Pickpick

So far my favorite of the series. V.I. was humanized, I think, due to life-threatening circumstances. Why is it easier to care about characters who are vulnerable? Because we can understand that and are more willing to follow them on their journey. Also, while reading this I thought about how the author was in the early years of forming Sisters in Crime while writing these early books. Interesting perspective.
