I have no idea how I learned about this book, but it's entirely lacking in substance and internal consistency. Hale keeps going on about how important it is to let things hurt and not mask them in platitudes and silver linings, and then she does nothing but write platitudes about silver linings. And her review of the Buddhist temple she visited? Dismissive and glib, and she totally missed the point. If you like Glennon Doyle, you might like this.

Very thought provoking 🤔

1) I am excited to start my flower 🌸 garden... One thing that I am trying to focus on is that‘s it‘s ok to be by myself... There are worse things that being alone. I may be alone, but I‘m not lonely anymore. I have you guys, my aunt, my girls, and I am going to focus on me for a change...

2) I need to release feelings of resentment toward my mother for things that happened in my childhood...

She died at age 92,so I had lots of time to work our relationship out! When my son was diagnosed with Autism at 6, she joined a grand parent group & continued loving & embracing his world.He got the unconditional love that I did not get. I so want you both to have that feeling of release in your lives. 4y
