#MarchIntoReading Day 30 - Starts with U/V/W

For the penultimate Day of Women's History Month, here are three fascinating and intriguing books by and about women:
•UNACCUSTOMED EARTH by Jhumpa Lahiri
•A VERY GREAT PROFESSION: THE WOMAN'S NOVEL 1914-1939
•WOMEN OF WINE: THE RISE OF WOMEN IN THE GLOBAL WINE INDUSTRY

#SeptPhotoChallenge Day 14 - non-fiction love

#PersephoneBooks is mostly known for short story collections & novels that they republish, but I prefer their nonfic!

A VERY GREAT PROFESSION (top), analyzes female fiction characters and therefore women's roles in society. LONDON WAR NOTES (lower-left) is a collection of New Yorker essays from WW2 England. FEW EGGS AND NO ORANGES is a diary of real London life during WW2. #somethingForSeptember

quirkyreader The Beauman book is one of many I plan to read. I liked the biography she did of Elizabeth Taylor. 8y
BooksForYears @quirkyreader Once I read some of Elizabeth Taylor's books (eventually, because of TBR reasons), I intend to pick up Nicola's bio of her! 8y
