Where in the Wild by David M. Schwartz and Yarl Schy is a NF PB all about camouflage. The information is given through P which I think makes this book even more unique. Students will have so much fun trying to find the animals in the pictures. I would use this as a RA, but also have the book available so students can look at it up close! #LAE3414Sp19

Channing_Austin This resource is a detailed lesson plan to go along with this book. It provides questions and an activity to further the understanding of camouflage and why it is necessary for animals. https://research.amnh.org/burroughs/teacher_guides/where_in_the_wild.pdf ESOL Strategy 4: Link lesson topic to students‘ prior knowledge.
