Oh my gosh, this is hilarious and for anyone in academia, this is so realistic it hurts. This short series of letters represent the finest in academic take downs and insults and the ending is a lovely wrap up. I highly recommend this.

4/5⭐ Oooh, I knew exactly which points of the pompous Mr. Talbot's letters would piss off Isabella (they pissed me off as well), and to no one's surprise, she ripped him a new asshole both in letter form and in the incredibly satisfying conclusion.
A pleasant, quick read for anyone who loved the Natural History of Dragons series by Marie Brennan. This quick tale is told through a series of letters with plenty of dry wit. At 17 pages long it makes for a great lunch time read and momentarily takes you back to Scirland and the Victorian(ish) society there. I loved it.
