At first this book felt great - rather Gatsby-esque, being set in the jazz age, but in black Harlem.
However the narrative constantly switched from first person (various different POVs) to third person, and often part way through a chapter.
The large cast of characters, many of whom weren‘t very rounded, meant that I struggled to care for them or their stories.
Other reviewers seem to have loved this though..! 😁
