1. Brain scan results have come back - no change, and it's stable.
2. Following on from #1, I don't have to have another scan for another 2 years.
3. Jaffa has sat on my lap several times (he's only just becoming a lap cat!)
4. I've had an email from the diabetes team saying that I can finally get a sensor fitted to track my blood sugars better.

Bookbuyingaddict Oh please 🙄 no more about j k Rowling the poor woman has been hounded and she‘s given millions of children so much joy over the years she‘s a genius . I happen to agree with her points of view , she was standing up for US her sex “women “ who‘s rights - confirmed by the UN - look it up ! Are going backwards . She‘s not denying anyone their rights just protecting womens rights - definition a woman DOES NOT have a penis! Book talk only please 🙏 2mo
5feet.of.fury ⬆️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️trans women are women, people‘s gender expression does not negatively impact women‘s right in the slightest no matter what *check notes* Robert Galbraith has to say about it. 2mo
Amiable Great ideas for prompts, @jenniferw88 ! And amen, @5feet.of.fury . 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 2mo

jenniferw88 @5feet.of.fury I just used her as an example - I might read Lethal White, but I couldn't think of another 'problematic' author. 2mo
5feet.of.fury @jenniferw88 HP Lovecraft is another potential! 2mo
Amiable @jenniferw88 Orson Scott Card is another one 2mo
slategreyskies @5feet.of.fury well said! Thank you! 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍⚧️ 🏳️‍⚧️ 2mo
Bookbuyingaddict @5feet.of.fury @Amiable @slategreyskies anyone can be anyone but not at the expense of another group. What‘s wrong with saying women menstruate rather than calling us menstruators? And why people with a cervix ? People don‘t have a cervix a woman does and why is everyone so angry ??every person is also entitled to an opinion and freedom of speech. 1mo
slategreyskies @Karons1 Don‘t tag me just to argue. 1mo
slategreyskies ^^^the comment above was directed to the user who made the comment above me and then changed their screen name after I commented. Just FYI to anyone else who was tagged. 1mo
Amiable @Bookbuyingaddict Freedom of speech doesn't come without consequences. Go ahead and express your opinion. The rest of us have the right to express ours in response. @slategreyskies Totally agree! 1mo
Bookbuyingaddict Hold on what is going on here ? Is everyone beating me up because i made a comment just an opinion and no @slategreyskies I changed my username to fit in with another account so do not make assumptions or bully me, why would you make that assumption? You don‘t know me you know nothing about me at all. Why do women turn on women when we should be supporting each other against misogyny. @amiable yes your right & freedom is extremely important in (edited) 1mo
Bookbuyingaddict Everything, speech , movement , opinions. Sometimes anger is a good thing as it starts a dialogue and change (women‘s right to vote etc ) as the wonderful novelist marian Keyes said in an interview at the weekend , anger is good bitterness is not. I do not like to see anyone being hounded on either side of this debate. The trans community Iv interacted with in the uk are all lovely people , there are however a small minority of mostly men taking 1mo
Bookbuyingaddict Advantage in gaps in the law in the uk , maybe in the rest of the world who knows , for their own evil gains. For example convicted rapist deciding to identify as a woman with no checks , he was moved to a female prison where he then raped 7 inmates and a prison guard. Another - man using female changing rooms pretending to identify as a woman, sexual assaulted 2 girls. So that was my point ,about keeping some spaces safe and exclusive for women. (edited) 1mo
Bookbuyingaddict @slategreyskies id be grateful if you‘d kindly remove your comments about me in your message above 👆 above and changing my user name you‘ve made it very personal and rather nasty and I‘m very upset 1mo
Bookbuyingaddict We are like books. Most people only see our cover, the minority read only the introduction, many people believe the critics. Ps im also changing my profile photo but nothing to do with this 👆 1mo
Bookbuyingaddict No Personal Attacks

As of April 2019, Litsy has adopted LibraryThing's rule prohibiting personal attacks against other Litsy members. If you must criticize, criticize words and ideas, not people. Name-calling is included within personal attacks. We know people get angry and make mistakes. Egregious and repeat offenders will be barred from Litsy. Please note that one violation of this policy does not excuse another.

TheBookHippie People feel this way about Shel Silverstein, Ronald Dahl, some children‘s classics and many books written 1800/1900 . Sometimes you read along and go WOE. I love Hemingway‘s writings but 😵‍💫😝 he is problematic too. Interesting challenge lots to think about. 1mo
TheBookHippie @5feet.of.fury I‘m lost now as I have no cervix… couldn‘t resist. People … it‘s NOT PIE. Rights for one does NOT take away rights for all. Could take away your privilege of being the only one with rights and if that‘s a problem the issue is you. ✌🏼☮️ peace love and light from the resident hippie 😊 (edited) 1mo
5feet.of.fury @TheBookHippie heyyy idk if I got tagged by mistake. Xoxo 😘 I couldn‘t agree with you more. ♥️🏳️‍🌈 1mo
5feet.of.fury No one personally attacked karons (I didn‘t even tag, I just wanted the first comment to not be the last) this whole @im being persecuted bc someone slightly disagreed with me is so funny 1mo
TheBookHippie @5feet.of.fury right?! Yes I meant you because you just were stating a fact and whew…. 1mo
5feet.of.fury @TheBookHippie 😂 ♥️ I didn‘t read a lot of the comments because she said she didn‘t want to fight… whoops 😅 1mo

jenniferw88 @Librarybelle I'm the opposite - I find my mind wandering if I listen to fiction, unless it grips me from the beginning or the narrator is good. I still prefer print over audio, though! 4mo
