pickAwww love a little story with the Carr family. How they can all be so nice is beyond me! Favourite character in this one was definitely Mrs Watson... she reminded me a bit of Mrs Bennett in Pride & Prejudice... very entertaining!

While this story was perfectly pleasant, what I really enjoyed was reading about life in an 1870's Colorado town, written in 1888 by someone who experienced it! I really thought I had read these books in the past, but this one wasn't remotely familiar to me, so maybe not...
I've discovered that there is a fifth book in the series as well, so I ordered a copy and am looking forward to spending a smidge more time with the Carrs!
