Quitter: Closing the Gap Between Your Day Job & Your Dream Job
Quitter: Closing the Gap Between Your Day Job & Your Dream Job | Jon Acuff
3 posts | 4 read | 1 reading | 5 to read
An insightful, witty look at how to turn a job into a dream without turning that dream into a nightmare. Quitter is a book about how it s possible not only to survive but actually thrive in the tension between a day job and a daydream. With the wit and insight gained in a dozen years of cubicle living, Acuff shows us all why we don t have to become the I m, but generation. I m a teacher, but I want to be an artist. I m a project manager, but I want to start my own business. If you ve ever sat in a cubicle and thought, I don t want to do this job for the rest of my life, this book is for you."

This book is exactly what you think it would be: a book about quitting; quitting at the right time. A person named Sandy recommended the writer‘s blog to me. He included a thank you to Sandy, whom he does not know, because he asked me how I heard about this book and I told him through Sandy. About a year, after the signing, many of us discovered that Sandy was quite the toxic person. And, we all “quit her”. Thanks for the book req Sandy. #ironic

Well-ReadNeck 😂🙌🏻 6y
Texreader Wow that‘s quite a story. I take real pleasure recalling the toxic people (the relatively few of them, thank heavens) I have “quit.” There‘s little worse than a toxic person in one‘s life. 6y

#augustphotochallenge #whitespine here are just a few of the white spine books I own. This is one of those times where you wished you shelved by book spine color - easier to take the picture.

MrBook Nice! 😊👍🏻 8y
