I‘M LATE! I missed my #adventrecommends for Day 4. This is one of my favorite books ever! If you like memoirs, you‘ll like it. If you like true crime, you‘ll like it. If you like both, you just found heaven! Cheryl Strayed provides an introduction. Poe Ballantine may not be well known, but Strayed claims “there is a secret society of [those who love Poe].” That should be recommendation enough.

Kaye Yes, Poe reads it. It took a bit of getting used to the first time. He‘s got a bit of a different accent or something. Hard to explain. Once I got used to it, I really liked it a lot. If you haven‘t yet gotten the free OneBook thing from Audible, I‘d be glad to send it to you for free. No charge. 👍🏼 6y
gradcat @Kaye Really? How would that work? What‘s the OneBook thing? I have access to Audible.... 6y
Kaye @gradcat. Anyone that has Audible books is allowed to send them to others. If you‘ve ever noticed when you complete a book, it‘ll come on and ask if you want to rate the book , or send it to someone. You can send as many as you want, but each person is only allowed to receive one book that is given for free. No strings attached. You don‘t have to join Audible or be a member to receive the book. I‘d gladly send you Poe.s.email me julieklabo@gmail 6y
gradcat @Kaye Thank you! I definitely will do that—I really appreciate it! 😘 6y
