Bailedbailed

Couldn't get past the superficial narrative at the beginning. The shallow inner voice of a stereotypically popular teenage girl grated on my nerves, so I had to bail.

Had a few hours without the tiny human (9 months old) and I spent it at used bookstores! Here is my book haul! Christopher Pike is my guilty pleasure :):)

queerbookreader Is it just a coincidence that his name is the same as the first captain before Kirk in Star Trek or was that intentional 😳 8y
Kalystia I love Christopher Pike! What's the large book about? 8y
SusanInTiburon We call that wishful thinking ... But there's time, there's time ... 😊 8y

Josie @lemonlime799 I do believe he chose that pseudonym for that exact reason! @Kalystia it's three books in one! It's about a death at a party! So you know something fishy is going on!!! 8y
Gayan @Josie The Bad Place is my very favorite Koontz, but Lightening is right up there. And King! 8y
Josie @Gayan when I first joined Litsy, I believe I asked you for your favorite Koontz books and I wrote them down and have been looking for them ever since! Found em! 8y
angrylilasian Loved Christopher Pike growing up! I still read Witch every once in a while. 8y
Kalystia Ooh I might have to get that! I loved Remember Me and the vampire girl ones. Can't remember their titles... Must be time for a reread! 8y
LauraReadsTheBooks I remember gravitating toward the Christopher Pike books when I was growing up. I read some of them multiple times. Good stack! 8y
Gayan @Josie ❤️ 8y
Josie @Kalystia I have both the full versions of Remember Me and the Thirst series (the vampire ones) they are SO GOOD. I looked for them everywhere a few years ago because I needed a reread. I was not disappointed 8y
