Absolutely loved this book, but took far longer than I should've to read it, due to my own mucking about. Really a fantastic read.
Words fail me, it's like David Mitchell modelled Mum right after my own!
This book is the perfect companion for a trip cross country
On a Neil Gaiman kick. Is it just me, or does reading Neverwhere make every shadow seem terrifying?
"It begins, as most things begin, with a song."
About halfway through this book and this is still my favourite quote.
I literally just finished The Murdstone Trilogy. On to Anansi Boys! (What is sleep?)
I absolutely adore this book. Don't let the size put you off, I know it seems daunting. Most people feel it takes years to get through this monster of a book, but I inhaled it. It was funny and crazy and at times confusing, and I would recommend this book to everyone.
I've loved this series since the first time I read it, way back in primary school. This series exposed me to magic and intrigue at an early age and still inspires to this day.
Read this book on Wattpad, and when it was finally published I went straight out and bought it. One of the best books I've read in a while.
Couldn't get past the superficial narrative at the beginning. The shallow inner voice of a stereotypically popular teenage girl grated on my nerves, so I had to bail.
I really tried to enjoy this book, but after suffering through 4 chapters of meh, I gave up. I don't see why there is so much hype over this series.
"The sun sinks, leaving tatty furbelows of crimson cloud in the Dartmoor sky."
"Everybody is identical in their secret unspoken belief that way deep down they are different from everyone else."
