A pretty satisfying finish to a pretty satisfying trilogy. In this volume, the fantasy story reconnects with its sf origins, which is cool, and the ending is open, which also works in this dark, twisted setting. Sadly, the lack of meaningful female characters persists, the single pointless subplot notwithstanding (which is weird, since a woman wrote it) so not a five, but, overlooking that, I enjoyed this book very much.

Kenyazero I think I have two of these three books. Friedman's been on my list for a while, so high up that I've bougyt a few books (but haven't read them yet). It sounds like you'd recommend? 5y
GrilledCheeseSamurai @Kenyazero it's a great trilogy! It's been a loooong time since I've actually read it though. However, I'd love to re-visit it since I remember it so fondly to see how it stack up to 'older me'. It's very dark and grim. 5y
Kenyazero @GrilledCheeseSamurai Good to know and goot to hear! 5y
