The Highest Anti-Terrorism Effort, or H.A.T.E. (a subsidiary of the Beyond Corporation(c)) put NE XTWAVE together to fight Bizarre Weapons of Mass Destruction. When NE XTWAVE discovers that H.A.T.E. and Beyond(c) are terrorist cells themselves, and that the BWMDs were intended to kill them, they are less than pleased. In fact, they are rather angry. So they make things explode. Lots of things. One of the funniest Marvel books I've ever read and one of my favorite comics, period. Warren Ellis having a blast with C-level superheroes & Stuart Immonen kills it on the art. The five or six fight scene spreads towards the end are worth the price of admission alone. Seriously, just google them.
