We‘re currently wrapping up a week at the North Carolina coast and we took a trip up to Wilmington today and took the kiddos to the Fort Fisher Aquarium, dinner at Flaming Amy‘s Burrito Barn (Have you ever been there @saresmoore ? Wilmington is your neck of the woods, right? Anyway, the food was was fantastic!), and then went to a Books-A-Million.
I got all of these super cheap for my new 8th grade classroom.
saresmoore Awesome! I have spent my fair share of time both in the aquarium and at BAM. And, of course, Flaming Amy‘s is a local institution. Sounds like a really fun trip! 5y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @saresmoore It was! Such a cool aquarium! We typically take a day trip to Myrtle when we‘re at the beach, but my brother who had lived in Wilmington a few years ago talked us into going there instead. He showed us around and we had a blast! Plus no insane Myrtle Beach crowds was a big plus. 5y
saresmoore If you get the chance to come again, I think you‘d really appreciate Old Books on Front St. It‘s downtown, not far from the Children‘s Museum (which is lots of fun for your kids‘ ages), so you might could sneak away for a perusal! 5y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @saresmoore Noted! Thanks for the rec. 5y
