Wow. This book was really dark and gritty and gory. What a tragic upbringing. It was really cool learning about her transition into Slayer and the whole story with the vengeance demon and the Maenads and past slayers and it was totally written in her voice. Wasn‘t expecting this book to have the layers and depth that it did
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ReadingOver50 I love Buffy! I didn‘t know this book existed! 2y

@CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian I don't think the fanfiction I used to read enjoy is around any longer. At least not that I can. But I did discover fanfiction.net is still around and has a bunch of Biffy fanfiction.

I started a list on Goodreads of the Buffy books I used to read. I remember enjoying them and them being really good, but it was a long time ago.

CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian Jenny from the Buffering the Vampire Slayer podcast was just talking about Go Ask Malice! I would love to know more about Faith. I'm excited to add these to my TBR, thanks so much! 6y
WarpedSweetness @CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian Go Ask Malice, from what I remember, was really good. It was great getting a better insight to her. You're welcome! 6y

Some notable #kickassheroines would be Anita Blake, Hermione Granger - among many other heroic women from the Harry Potter books, and most of the women from the Buffyverse. Go Ask Malice is a novel based on the dark slayer, Faith. Written in diary form, it leads up to her appearance on the Buffy TV series.

mirabente Is the show based on the books or the books based on the show? I didn't even know there were books!! 7y
JessClark78 @mirabente The books are based on the show. The couple that I've read are pretty good. 7y

So mostly for the fans of Buffy the vampire slayer. Faith is my favourite slayer so I was happy when this book came out. It's the origin story of the character and it is dark and weird. Overall a pretty decent book, a good companion for the show (if you're craving for more details)
