Pamela C. Smith, a London-born empath with second sight, is hired by the Golden Dawn to illustrate a deck of tarot cards. When she refuses to share her creations with Aleister Crowley, he issues a threat: give up the card‘s power, or he‘ll harm her muses.

Great writing. A magical read featuring many notable figures from history. Highly recommend.

The Conclusion.

The cast reunites and the search for the Book of Life comes to an end. I really enjoyed the characters and world of All Souls. I absolutely love the author‘s attention to detail. Even when the story is moving slow the writing is rich and kept me glued to the pages. Glad I finally read this trilogy.

I have so many favorite smells.

1. Coffee. The scent of freshly brewed coffee is divine and fills me with anticipation for that first sip.

2. Patchouli. When I get a strong whiff of patchouli from someone passing by, it gives me this incredible euphoric feeling.

3. Clove. I love spices. The smell of cloves makes me think of delicious holiday food, incense, and smoking clove cigarettes.

This is a brief horror novella about three young girls, referring to themselves as The Pale White, escaping from sex slavery. This was pretty good. The horror of the story is mostly the horror of their situation. This contains no explicit details or actual sex scenes during the course of the story.

1843 is “the last year of the world” — according to Elias Fitcher, a charismatic preacher in upstate NY. Determined to spend Eternity as a married man, he sets his eye on the three young daughters of one of his devout followers.
This reimagining of the Bluebeard tale was so good. It‘s a very dark story that I would highly recommend to dark fantasy lovers.
