The Way to Game the Walk of Shame
The Way to Game the Walk of Shame: A Swoon Novel | Jenn Nguyen
12 posts | 13 read | 9 to read
Taylor Simmons is screwed. Things were hard enough when her single-minded dedication to her studies earned her the reputation of being an Ice Queen, but after getting drunk at a party and waking up next to bad boy surfer Evan McKinley, the entire school seems intent on tearing Taylor down with mockery and gossip. Desperate to salvage her reputation, Taylor persuades Evan to pretend they're in a serious romantic relationship. After all, it's better to be the girl who tames the wild surfer than just another notch on his surfboard.

Fun fake dating story. It does have a bit of the not like other girls stuff. And for #RippedBodiceBingo someone smells like flowers.

Finally done! Not the next great American novel, but it was a cute read. Unlikely boy and girl pairing that ends up working in the end. Nice little palate cleanser. Now on to some #scaretober reads!

This read is not all that serious, but I like this quote. Revelatory moment for one of the MC's regarding his mom and dad.

I know it's hard to tell, but it's pretty cloudy and dark out right now. That won't keep me from reading, though! 📚

"but none of this mattered, since we aren't in a real relationship. it didn't matter if we didn't care about the same things or have anything in common. it didn't matter that our relationships experiences were on opposite ends of the spectrum."

☕️☕️☕️☕️: I absolutely loved it and enjoy it from the start to the very end. The dynamic between the two main characters was so much fun and I especially liked that I was able to believe the romance. This is a book you won't want to miss. It's perfect for a summer read!
